RUBIK'S TIMER

3D TRAINING ยท REALTIME ROOMS

Move the same cube together

The training room is a shared virtual workspace for demonstrating turns, exploring states and collaborating without creating an account.

Open the 3D room

Create or join

Enter a short display name and create a room to receive a six-character code. A partner enters that code in the join field. The room can also be represented in the page URL, making it easier to reopen or share. Anyone with the code may be able to join, so treat it as an invitation.

View mode

View mode is for inspecting the cube without changing its state. Drag to adjust the camera and look at different faces. Use it while another participant demonstrates a move or when discussing piece positions.

Rotate mode

Rotate mode turns cube layers. Each valid move updates the shared state and appears in move history. Because participants are connected through realtime messages, deliberate turns are easier to follow than fast sequences sent faster than the network can display them.

Paint mode

Paint mode changes sticker colors using the seven-color palette. It is useful for reconstructing a position, illustrating recognition cases or setting up a partial state. Agree on who is editing before making a large batch of changes.

Scramble, reset, undo and redo

Scramble applies a generated sequence. Reset returns the cube to its solved state. Undo and redo walk through recent shared changes, with a bounded move history to keep the room responsive. These actions are broadcast so connected participants converge on the same state.

Good collaboration habits

  • Say which face or algorithm you are demonstrating before turning.
  • Pause after a short sequence so the other participant can inspect it.
  • Use paint mode for states that are difficult to reach interactively.
  • Do not reset while another person is explaining a position.
  • Leave the room when the session ends so presence stays accurate.

The training room is not a physical-solve timer. Return to the main timer for solve history and averages, or use Online 2P for a timed race.
