RUBIK'S TIMER

ONLINE 2P · LIVE OR ASYNC

One scramble. Two cubers.

Create a room, share the link, and put the clean timer interface between you and a friend—not another complicated multiplayer dashboard.

Create an online battle

Create and share a room

  1. Open the timer and choose 2P.
  2. Select Online 2P, enter a display name and choose Live or Async Battle.
  3. Create the room.
  4. Copy the invite link or room code and send it privately to your friend.

The invite opens the same timer with the room code ready. The code is the key to the room, so avoid posting it where unintended participants may find it.

Live Battle

Live Battle keeps both participants in the same realtime round. Ready states and the countdown coordinate the start, each player sees their own timer and opponent status, and the round completes after both stop. A five-round history keeps the match short enough to replay.

Async Battle

Async mode is useful when reception is limited or both players cannot stay perfectly synchronized. It keeps shared scrambles and records each player's result against the corresponding round so progress can continue at a more flexible pace.

Accounts are optional for the race

A display name and room are enough to participate. If you are logged in, your own supported remote 2P solves can also be saved into your active account session. The room does not expose your email or password to the opponent.

A good five-round format

  • Agree on Live or Async before creating the room.
  • Use the provided scramble for every round.
  • Wait for both players to be ready.
  • Do not restart a poor opening.
  • Compare the round history after the fifth solve.

Network timing and browser state can affect realtime displays. Use the mode for friendly practice and pressure training, not official results or disputes.

More ways to practice together

When both players share one device, Local 2P provides two configurable timer keys. To collaborate on a virtual cube rather than time physical solves, use the 3D training room.
